This drill press was bought
for $40.00 at my local tool dealer. The poor thing just sat and sat and
the price came down to a point where I just had to buy it. The cast iron table is in great shape with just one
"miss" on the edge of the center hole. The top will stay well
protected with the woodworking table that I made from two layers of MDF
and edged with
Imbuya. I was able to swap hand wheel that was on it for the proper hand
wheel that belongs on this drill press. I have been able to pick up a
couple spare parts and now have the original nametag on the drill and
there are a couple extra parts. I have a bare head casting and the lock
handles with inserts for the head clamp and the quill clamp as well as
the shaft that controls the quill that the handle is attached to.
Please contact me if you are in need of these and we can work something
out. My next step to finish off the drill
press is a weighted counter balance. This counter balance will allow the
drill table to move without effort up or down. My plan is to have the
weight hidden inside the column. Stay tuned for a write up on this set
up sometime over this winter.
