1959 Craftsman 113.23881 lathe made by Simpson's -Sears LTD.
EDIT: This lathe has also found itself a new home on November 9th 2006
This lathe is an Emerson built 12" x 30" lathe with a 3/4"-16 tpi spindle and No. 1 morse taper.
This one only need a mild refurb and fresh paint to look good. I used this lathe for about 6 months until I found and restored my Delta 950 11" x 38" lathe. In all it was a decent little lathe and worked well.

So there we have it, yet another tool refurb by your's truly.. I decided to go with blue on this lathe as I did not care for the dark gray, yet thought the light gray I like to use would not look good either. I ended up with "Old Chevrolet Blue". As stated many times on my site, I am a big fan of engine enamel. The paint goes on thick and smooth, it will coat dang near over anything so if you have a casting that has always been coated in oil it will not "fish-eye" and ruing the paint job.
