~Raise the Lowered~

Here is a couple quick photos from the 3 1/2" lift I had to install on my camper to tow level and to improve the ground clearance (which was pretty low, in fact, it didn't come with a step when new) This lift was very easy to do and has logged thousands of miles. I basically used some heavy plate, drilled the holes being careful to match the axle, bolted the plate to the axle and then on to the trailer frame. I did have to space the plate away from the frame with 1 washer per bolt to allow for the thickness of the axle. If you look close you will see the plate is not quite long enough, Well it was free and just that size, so  can live with the 1/2" over hang.  What you can not see is the corner gussets I added from the plate to the frame (just in case) and the plate is tack welded to the axle. I did this job in just a couple of hours, and it tows just fine..
