Tub Project

Unfortunately, we jumped right into this project, so no pictures were taken of the tub prior to the removal. However, if you look towards the end of the page, you'll see the wonderful shape it was in. I also discovered why my cowl was being pulled "rear-ward". Not a single body mount was connected. Once we cut the bead the PO put on the rear of the tub (shown below), the tub was completely loose (except for the connection to the cowl). Once the cowl was cut, the tub fell to the frame basically.... Anyways, I hope you like the shots I took.

Once we cut the cowl section, the rear end instantly popped up. Nothing supporting the tub except the cowl and the weld to the rear crossmember.

Nice rust around the fuel filler. It was held together by the clear POR-15 I put on 4 years ago.

Nice floor boards...

Cruiser Pre-Removing the Tub

If you hit page down quickly a bunch of times, it looks like I'm cutting the tub off.

:) Mmmm Sparks

Underside of the tub

Looks pretty good from this side....
