I am in the early planning stages of rebuilding the remaining piece of my Cruiser, the Tub. In case any of you are checking back, here's the time frame I'm looking at:
February 2003:
a) Determine what needs to be completely replaced on the tub. Most likely the entire tub will need replacement, but a final determination is necessary.
b) Collect all necessary parts that should be replaced while the tub is off. This includes new rear bumper, new shackles and hangers, braces for the rear frame, Body Mounts, etc.
March 2003
a) Pull Cruiser out of storage and remove Tub.
b) prepare any sections to be saved for priming and undercoating.
c) Remove Fuel tank and send out for Repair
d) Install Bumper, shackles, hangers, etc.
g) Start tearing tub apart to weld in new steel.
April 2003
a) Fix cowl so it stands up straight.
May 2003
a) Reinstall Tub on new body mounts.
b) install new roll cage
c) Take it out to get dirty.....
