Chu's Axle Swap (cont.)

Above you can see the new lines that were hand bent around the housing and routed to the junction box.

A custom bracket was made to lengthen the rubber hose and attach it to
the rear housing, and to allow maximum droop in the rear.
Notice all the extra hose that is there. Should have no problem here.

With that all done, the Dana 44 is ready for the final bolt in.

I got a front driveshaft from a Wagoneer and had it cut down to 25 1/2", welded and balanced.
This will take care of any driveline vibrations that might have developed.

This is the final resting place for my re-built 74 Scout Dana 44
I will have to say that it took a little while longer than expected to do
this-
but with anything that is not a direct bolt in, you come across things.
I will have to say that I feel much better about playing hard with this
new meat under my seat.

I want to thank Jim Alton for giving up his weekend to help me and
lending me all the tools and advice that I could use.
Rick for helping with locating the axle and Kevin S. for moving that bad
boy around.

Feel free to let me know what you think of my project.
