Differential
Armor
Installation

A few weeks ago, I was up at a trail called Vietnam in Massachusetts. I was crawling along the trail and didn't notice the large rock quickly approaching the passenger side of my truck. BANG. I stopped. I backed up and went around and didn't really think about it. Later on down the trail, my bud Kevin noticed that when I hit that rock, I put a nice dent in my front diff cover. The solution: DIFF ARMOR or 44" boggers. The armor was cheaper.

The installation is simple and took about an hour from start to finish. I began by draining the axle of fluid, test fit the armor, and scuffed up where the welds would be on the axle. Then I tack welded the armor into place. Then I ran 3 beads.

I let it cool, and spray painted it. The kit came with a low profile drain plug too, so I installed that and filled the diff with fluid.
