Dave's 45 Restoration Page

1965 FJ45 LWB Pickup
This page will follow the restoration of my FJ45 pickup. Keep checking
back for more photos and progress reports. This is the way it looked about 5 years ago. It is largely the same now, except for a rattle-can paint job to make it Desert Tan. It spent 30 years in Oregon, came east for 4 years in Tennessee, and now resides in Massachusetts. I am the 5th owner.

Here is the intact, though scruffy tailgate. Note the large gas tank
that a previous owner installed in the bed. This is already gone.

Here is a shot of the front of the frame. A 327 V8 has been removed and
there is currently no drivetrain installed. Note the coil-over shocks, soon to be gone.

Here is the rear of the frame. Note the intact anti-sway bar on the
axle and the remains of some sort of torsion bar on the frame. Presumably this was added to compensate for the V8.
